Kasauli is a small hill station located in Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the most unexplored tourist spots in India. It is close to popular cities like Chandigarh and Shimla. Kasauli has a moderate temperature and gets quite cold in the winter season.
There are some interesting places to see near Kasauli. Sanawar is a popular hill station located near Kasauli. Dagshai and Dharampur are other popular tourist attractions near Kasauli, which are famous for their calm and beautiful landscape. Another town, known as Sabathu is quite famous for a fort built by Gurkha rulers.
Even Kasauli has some beautiful visiting spots. Some of them are:
1. Gurudwara Shri Guru Nanak Ji
It is a sikh temple which is located in Gharkhal bazaar in Kasauli. It has a beautiful architecture; it also has a ritual of offering daily prayers and weekly programmes are held every Sunday.
2. Monkey Point
It is the highest point in Kasauli. The view from there is magnificent. The Sutlej River flowing through the plains make for a beautiful sight from the Monkey Point.
3. Baptist Church
Baptist church was built during the British era and has a beautiful architecture. It is made up of brick and wood. The interiors of the church were partly damaged due to a fire that broke in the year 2008.
4. Kasauli Brewery
It is the oldest working distillery in Asia and the world’s highest distillery. The distillery and brewery were established in 1820’s by Edward Dyer. This location was chosen due to the fine spring water and climatic conditions. Later on, due to the shortage of spring water, the brewery was shifted to Solan. But the distillery still operative there.
